Takeshi Shudo died after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage at Nara Station. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive. While he was not the original creator of pokemon, he helped make many of the memories we hold, being the mastermind behind the first three movies and the chief writer of the Pokemon series from 1997 to 2002.

Thank you, Takeshi Shudo. Rest in peace, friend.

(Except now I'm confused because Wikipedia says Satoshi Tajiri died yesterday, and WAS the original creator of pokemon... What?)
